Yes For Unity 2020 campaign to restart 10th August
YES for Unity 2020 campaigning to begin after 10th August COVID-19 Phase 5 reopening.
YES For Unity are hopeful we can begin campaigning for a United Ireland after the 10th August 2020 Phase 5 opening. We had planned to host 4 large Irish Unity mobilisations in 2020, one in each province. However these plans had to be shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The most important element for any future planned Irish Unity campaigning is safety. We will be producing a Safety and Management Plan template, all events will be static, socially distanced with participants asked to supply their own face masks and gloves, sanitising stations will be provided along with Health and Safety stewards to minimise risk as best we can.
YES for Unity plan to keep Irish Unity events local, we are asking participants not to travel more than 20kms to any event. We will be holding choreographed socially distanced sign or banner visual displays with local speakers from the Irish Unity Community.
We all have a responsibility to keep the momentum towards Irish Unity moving forward, Ireland needs trans-formative change, we need to create a society in which no one is left behind. YES For Unity believes that the debate around Irish Unity is the best opportunity to articulate this change, the people of Ireland need to engage with each other and agree on what type of 32 County Republic we wish to create.
YES For Unity is asking the broad Irish Unity Community to begin planning events. Do not wait to be led by the politicians, Irish Unity belongs to the Irish people and ultimately it will be the Irish people who deliver it. Please get in touch with YES For Unity on contact@yesforunity.ie with any questions or for help in organising in your local area.
( ALL ACTIONS WILL DEPEND ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF COVID-19, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY EVENT AT SHORT NOTICE SHOULD THERE BE A LARGE NATIONAL SPIKE IN COVID-19 CASES)
