#MarchForUnity- Important Information

The March for Irish Unity takes place this Sunday 24th November.

The march will leave at 1pm sharp from the Diamond in Lifford making its way to Abercorn Square, in Strabane, a 1.2mile route.

People are advised to park close to the finishing point, Abercorn Square in Strabane and stewards will be on site from 11am to direct people to appropriate parking spaces.

A shuttle bus will be in Abercorn Square from 11am to ferry people out to the starting point in Lifford.

Any buses coming are asked to drop of people in Lifford and then park near the finishing point in Strabane. Again stewards will be on hand to direct.

One banner will lead the March. Followed by a flag from each of the 32 Counties.

There will be no other banners in the March to support the stated aim of the initiative, “as a non-party political, grassroots, anti-sectarian and peaceful initiative aimed at mobilising the collective and vibrant Irish Unity Community for a new and United Ireland.”

The March will end with a small number of speeches from people of community, trade union, cultural and sporting backgrounds.

Wrap up warm and bring your umbrellas, just incase. See you on Sunday.
